The schools off base fall under the Wayne County Public School District. Children living on base will have to go to Meadow Lane Elementary, Greenwood Middle School or Eastern Wayne High School in Wayne County. Children living off base will attend the school district where they live, mainly in Wayne County. There are other top schools in the area including the Wayne School of Engineering, Wayne Early/Middle College High School, Goldsboro High School, Dillard Academy Charter School, and Wayne Middle High School Academy.

Old Waynesborough Park, Goldsboro Antique Park, Goldsboro Brew Works, and Wayne County Museum are a few of the places you could visit. You could also go down to Hood Swamp Corn Maze, Downtown Escapes, Wine and Design, AMF Boulevard Lanes, and Larry Bill’s Funtime Golf.
