Naval Support Activity Northwest Annex is located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Located on the border with North Carolina, the NSA Northwest Annex is surrounded by areas of wildlife preserves. Although this is operated as an independent base, NSA Northwest Annex is actually adjacent to another and because of this, NSA Northwest Annex does not have its own impressive history. The responsibility of NSA Northwest Annex is to support all of the missions of the Navy worldwide. Hosting seven major tenant at this facility, those among the most important include Submarine Forces and Naval Surface Forces for the Atlantic Group. This bases hosts, in addition to American forces, some NATO troops.
