Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg is a naval supply depot outside Mechanicsburg in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is primarily industrial, and home to over 150 warehouses containing 8,800,000 square feet of storage space and other buildings and is the Naval Supply Systems Command headquarters. It serves close to 5,000 inhabitants with about 40 tenants hosted, the most important ones counting the Inventory Control Point, the Supply System Commands, or the Information Systems Activity.

NSA Mechanicsburg is located in the southern central portion of Pennsylvania in Cumberland County, Central Pennsylvania. There are quite a few things to do in Mechanicsburg with numerous parks like Sky Zone Trampoline Park, restaurants like El Rodeo and Hi-Life Diner, and a Zoo. There are many local attractions in the area and within 2-3 hours drive to major cities. New York, Baltimore, and the greater Philadelphia area are all within reasonable driving distances, but traffic may complicate and extend the duration of your trip.

There are no schools on base, and it is the policy of the state of Pennsylvania that where your physical address determines the school your children will attend. Military families living in base housing will attend school in the Cumberland Valley School District.

Military housing can be found at Carlisle Barracks, which is about 10 miles from the base, while off-base housing is found in the cities of Mechanicsburg and Carlisle.
