Camp Mabry is a military base in Austin, Texas, in the southernmost part of the contiguous United States. It has the headquarters of the Texas Military Department, Texas Military Forces, and Texas Military Forces Museum. This installation was established in 1892 and is the third-oldest active military installation in Texas, just after Fort Sam Houston and Fort Bliss. The camp was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Since its establishment, this camp has been used as a mobilization area and a training facility. It also has the Texas National Guard’s State Officer Candidate School.

Austin, Texas, is one of the most famous cities in the United States. It is the capital of Texas and also the seat of Travis County. Since there is no housing on the camp, you would have to live in the neighborhoods around Camp Mabry, such as Downtown Austin, Old West Austin, Tarrytown, Barton Hills, and Clarksville. Some other areas near the base are Bee Cave, Brentwood, Rosedale, and Allandale.

There are no schools on the base, but Austin, Texas, being the global city it is, has excellent schools. Some of these schools are Bluebonnet School of Cedar Park, Harmony School of Endeavor, NYOS Charter School, Austin International School, Anderson High School, and McCallum.

Austin, Texas, is not short of places to go, such as the Texas Capitol, Blanton Museum of Art, Zilker Park, McKinney Falls State Park, Bullock Texas State History, and Barton Springs Municipal Pool.
