Andrews Air Force Base is surrounded by many cool suburbs like West Laurel, Fairwood, University Park, Greenbelt Gleen Dale, Woodmore, and Fort Washington. Still, there is provision for housing in the base at Liberty Park at Andrews if you would prefer to live on-base. However, since this is not available for everybody, good off-base neighborhoods to stay in are Beverly Hills, Oakbrooke, and Waynewood, among others.

The Joint Andrew Base has a public school on base called the Andrews Public Charter Schools. However, there are no DOD schools, but students who live on base can also attend the Prince George’s County Public Schools. This county is also home to about 24 schools, from community colleges to beauty schools to the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Prince George’s County is full of historical sites like the Fort Washington Park, College Park Aviation Museum, and the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. You could also enjoy their local cuisine at Carolina Kitchen and Old Line Bistro. Also, this city makes mean pizzas that keep you coming for more.
