The Watervliet Arsenal is an arsenal of the United States Army situated in Watervliet, New York, around the west bank of the Hudson River. It sits about eight miles south of Albany and is just 150 acres wide. It is the oldest continuously active arsenal in the United States and manufactures much of the artillery for the army and gun tubes for cannons, mortars, and tanks. Watervliet is in Albany County, in the state of New York, and is bordered by the town of Colonie.
