US Coast Guard Base Honolulu is located on Sand Island, right across downtown Honolulu in Oahu Island, in Hawaii. Sand Island is accessed by the Sand Island Access Road, which connects Sand Island and the neighborhood of Kalihi Kai. The base is around 5 miles away from downtown Honolulu and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The base is one of the 3 Coast Guard bases in Oahu Island, the others being in Barber’s Point and Pyramid Rock.
