Fort Huachuca is a historic army installation located close to the city of Sierra Vista, Arizona. The base is notable for its being established in 1877. It currently houses the United States Army Network Enterprise Technology Command and the United States Army Intelligence Center. The base itself is also open to the general public. The city located closest to the base is Sierra Vista, which is a part of the Sierra Vista-Douglas Metropolitan Area. It is a city surrounded by the vast outdoors, and it is also known as the Hummingbird Capital of the United States.

Sierra Vista is a rather small city, so you can expect a lot of properties located close to nature. The most notable neighborhoods in the city are El Camino Real / E Foothills Dr, Village Meadows, and Route 92 / E Foothills Dr.

Fort Huachuca does not feature schools run by the Department of Defense. Children’s education is handled by the local public schools managed by the Sierra Vista Unified School District, which includes Buena High School, a middle school, and six elementary schools.

Sierra Vista is blessed with many amazing natural landmarks, so you will almost never run out of things to do in this city. The best things to do include taking a walk around the Coronado National Forest or visiting the local Farmer’s Market.
