Southwest of Spokane, Washington is the Fairchild Air Force Base. It is a US Air Force Base built in 1942 that hosts the 92nd Air Refueling Wing. This military installation works to provide air refueling, passenger and cargo airlift, and aeromedical evacuation missions. Spokane, Washington, is located in Spokane County along the Spokane River adjacent to the Selkirk Mountains. It is famous for being where the Spokane Hoopfest, the world’s largest basketball tournament, is held.

Spokane is a bubbling hub and has nice areas, such as West Central, Browne’s Addition, Cliff-Cannon, and Manito-Cannon Hill. However, you should note that Fairchild AFB has provision for living on the base with neighborhoods such as Circle Drive, Fort Wright Village, Galena Station, and Palouse Hills.

Students who stay on the base will go to Medical Lake School District schools like Medical Lake Middle School, Hallett Elementary School, Medical Lake Endeavors, Medical Lake High School, and Michael Anderson Elementary School, all of which are on the base, or very close to the base.

One thing that Spokane would not let you down on is a fun experience for you and your family. You could go on a cable ride in Riverfront Park, walk through the historical botanical gardens of Manito Parks, and snowboard across the magnificent Mt. Spokane in Mt. Spokane Snowboard Park.
