Camp Pendleton is a large military base belonging to the US Marine Corps. The base is one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the country, and it is the home base of the I Marine Expeditionary Force. It has been in operation since 1942, serving as a training base for marines. The nearest city to the base is Oceanside, CA, a popular tourist destination with a sizable population.

Camp Pendleton does not feature any school under the direct management of the Department of Defense. Children of the base’s service members have plenty of education options, however.
