The Naval Hospital Beaufort is a military hospital in Port Royal, north of Beaufort, South Carolina. It is situated close to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort and Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. Since being built in 1949, it has served all the bases around, including the neighborhood of Laurel Bay. The city of Beaufort is home to several bases, including Naval Hospital. Beaufort is a beautiful city full of antebellum mansions and military history, while Port Royal is a town in Beaufort County.

Base housing at Naval Hospital Beaufort is privatized and accommodates active-duty families and hospital medical personnel. There are no schools on base. However, students that live in and around Naval Hospital Beaufort will go to schools such as Beaufort Elementary, Beaufort High, Coosa Elementary School, Robert Smalls International Academy, Beaufort Academy, and Mossy Oaks Elementary School. Also, the Technical College of the Lowcountry provides access to online schooling and several degrees for the people in Beaufort.
