Martindale Army Air Field is located in San Antonio, Texas. Constructed during WWII, the Martindale Army Airfield was used by the United States Army as a flight training facility that was an auxiliary field for Randolph Army Airfield, it was abandoned by the military sometime between 1976 and 1982. Martindale Army Airfield works in conjunction with Randolph Air Force Base and is currently used by the Texas Army National Guard to train helicopter pilots and provides air space for night and urban rotary (helicopter) flying. This facility is used by the Texas National Guard and active Air Force pilots.
