March Air Reserve Base is a military installation belonging to the US Air Reserve. It is the home base of the Air Force Reserve Command’s Fourth Air Force and the 452d Air Mobility Wing. The base has been in operation since 1917. During the Cold War, it was effectively used as a base for the Strategic Air Command. The nearest city to the base is Riverside, CA. Riverside is the largest city in the Inland Empire area.
