Davis Monthan Air Force Base is a military installation belonging to the US Air Force. The base is located close to the city of Tucson, Arizona, and it is famous for its aircraft graveyard, the final resting place for excess US Army equipment and vehicles. The host unit of the base is the 355th Wing. The base has been in operation since 1940.
