Camp Shelby is the biggest state training base in the US located at Perry and Forrest Counties with a part in Greene County, in South Mississippi. It has its North Gate situated at the southern boundary of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. There is Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Centre at this camp, which has about 136,000 acres for training and offers a wide range of support since its establishment in 1917. Camp Shelby is quite large, so it stretches around different counties; one of those counties is Forrest County which includes Hattiesburg. Hattiesburg is a large city known as Hub City because of its complex railroad system.
