Fort Richardson is a US military base located in the state of Alaska, right next to the city of Anchorage. The base was constructed in 1941, and it has been in use ever since. In recent years, it was merged with Elmendorf Air Force Base to create a joint base called the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.

Eielson Air Force Base is a military base of the US Air Force. It is located close to the city of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Moose Creeks, Alaska. The base has been in operation since 1943, and it received major renovations in 1948. It is currently the host of the 354th Fighter Wing, and it features a population of about 2,600 inhabitants in 2020.
