Fort Sam Houston
Fort Sam Houston, built in 1876, is an Army post that is a part of Joint Base San Antonio, which is the only facility that lies within the city limits of San Antonio, Texas Fort Sam Houston is one of the Army’s oldest installations and was placed on the US Historical Site Registration in 1975.
Camp Bullis is an Army training camp that is located in Bexar County, Texas, just 17 miles from San Antonio. Built in 1917, this facility is still in use today and is a part of Joint Base San Antonio. Camp Bullis was established in 1917, part of the original Leon Springs Military Reservation, to prepare soldiers for combat due to the growing threat of war in Europe, prior to WWI.
Seymour Johnson Air Force Base

Peterson Space Force Base - formerly known as the Peterson Air Force Base - is located seven miles from the city center of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Supporting a personnel population of over eight thousand would be difficult for most bases in most states, but Peterson Space Force Base personnel are fortunate to be in such close proximity to the city of Colorado Springs.
Schriever Space Force Base
Formerly known as the Falcon Air Force Station, the relatively young Schriever Space Force Base (neighboring base, Fort Carson, has been operational for forty years longer than Schriever SFB) is a host to over eight thousand personnel. One of Schriever Space Force Base’s main assets is the fact that it is located only twenty miles from the Colorado Springs city center.
Pueblo Chemical Depot
As the name suggests, the Pueblo Chemical Depot is entirely focused on chemical materials and / or chemical treatments. In fact, it is one of the only two operational bases that remains responsible for the handling and subsequent disposal of chemical materials in the United States military.

Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort is the United States Marine Corps airbase situated 3.1 miles northwest of the business district of Beaufort, a city in Beaufort County, aSouth Carolina, United States. This airbase serves about 4,700 personnel and houses four Marine Corps fighter attack squadrons. It was built in 1943 but was owned by the US Navy until 1960, when the US Marine Corps took over.
MCRD Parris Island
Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island is an 8,095-acre military base located on Parris Island in Port Royal, South Carolina, approximately 5 miles south of Beaufort, the community that is typically associated with the installation. This military installation is used for the United States Marine Corps Recruit Training of enlisted United States Marines.
